Location: Cabo Verde
Event: Voting in U.S. Elections from Cabo Verde
General elections in the United States are just 146 days away. All U.S. citizens can receive their blank ballots electronically. Depending on the state in which you are eligible to vote, you may get your ballot by email, fax, or internet download. FVAP.gov includes information and resources for voting in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and every other state.
Returning Your Completed, Signed Ballot: Some states allow you to return your completed ballot electronically (including Massachusetts) or by fax (including Rhode Island and Florida), while others do not. If your state requires you to return paper voting forms or ballots to local election officials by mail (such as Connecticut and New York), you can do so through international mail, or professional courier service, or through U.S. Embassy Praia.
Routine operations at U.S. Embassy Praia, including ballot collection, have been suspended due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We will notify U.S. citizens via a public announcement and MASCOT message when we are again able to accept ballots.
